Telephone Movers of WV, Inc. was founded in 1984 and incorporated on April 1, 1990. The founder, Donald W. Bird, had 40+ years experience in the telecommunication industry. Before opening Telephone Movers of WV, Inc. he worked for 10 years with Southern Bell in Miami, FL. He shared his wide range of knowledge and expertise with the current employees who have been with him for 15+ years and planned for six years on implementing his retirement smoothly.
Don unexpectedly passed away on August 30, 2008. We were humbled at the outpouring of compassion and support by our customers and friends in business. It confirmed our belief that we must press forward and continue the company as planned for his retirement, in his absence.
Christine Scherr, president and owner, realized immediately the job that needed to be done. She has focused on everything she and her father had crafted for over 15 years together to secure and expand the business into the next generation.
Telephone Movers is a family owned business covering the entire state of West Virginia and concentrating in the Kanawha, Jackson and Putnam county areas. We are proud of our reputation and will continue making lasting relationships in business and in the community.
